Before reporting a bug

  1. Check if there is not already a open bug report that describes your report.
  2. It must be reproduceable.
  3. Reproduce it at least 3 times before writing a bug report.

How to report Bugs

Topic:
  • A short recognizable description of the bug.
Description:
  • Give a description of the bug in your own words. Not a few words, but in some lines.
Affected function(s):
  • Describe the affected function(s)
Related files:
  • List related files if they are known
Steps to replicate:
  • Give a step-by-step how to replicate the problem
  • Reproduce steps: Clearly mention the steps to reproduce the bug.
  • Expected result: How application should behave on above mentioned steps.
  • Actual result: What is the actual result on running above steps i.e. the bug behavior. These are the important steps in bug report.
Proposed fix(es):
  • Any possible fixes in code that might provide a solution
System info:
  • Enter your system info.
  • Using 32 or 64 bit
  • OS Version
  • Current with yum updates
General:
  • If avaible, select a proper category.
  • Do not set the target version. [developers/bugteam task]
  • When a bug is reproduceable by more users, they should reply a confirmation.
  • Reported Issues without above information will be rejected or asked to complete the missing information.
