Description
Since reoponing is not allowed here a duplicate issue (see related).
Again I see the error message that sendmail fails in Horde. Taking away exec and popen from the prohibited functions in the PHP settings will fix this, like was said in the original issue, but that affects the security of the hosting environment.
My proposal is to make webmail independent of the webhosting and let it be served by Kloxo's lighttpd server, just like phpMyadmin. Since Kloxo is already running commands, it should not show the same error.

Well, then its not a bug but a feature request.
Horde works fine with exec/popen removed (as that was the default before someone decided to put it as restriction).
If local security is concerned, dont use webmail apps. Use secured imap/pop clients or forward your local mail to gmail/hotmail etc.
