  • Resolution set to Rejected

Make a poll at the forum to see how much of interest in this app is. No Interest = No implementation (just because maintaining another piece of 3rdparty software package.

For now rejected.

It is easy now to create other apps (non-database connect) apps..
Personaly I do use squirrelmail for years.

I know i have to make a poll, but it would be an optional choice to use or not in the future. So why not test this now to learn :) This is the only one i do as 'extra' for now.

Follow #261 for any progress if intrested.

I have kloxo-squirrelmail package already installed after refactoring a borrowed RPM SPEC file. It working for 99% (need some adjustments and version update to latest one).

**Build: kloxo-squirrelmail-1.4.22-1.noarch.rpm

Install:
yum install kloxo-squirrelmail --enablerepo=lxcenter-test

Now, someone has to help me getting the right configsettings for qmail+courier+squirrelmail because the only problem is that it wont send email.

URL: http://webmail.yourdomain.com/squirrelmail
Install Location: /home/kloxo/httpd/webmail/squirrelmail
Source RPM: http://download.lxcenter.org/download/test/centos-5/SRPMS/

Again: it is not sending email please help to find out why, receiving mail is okay.

It's an old Webmail client. I do not see any point adding this. Adding AfterLogic WebMail Lite is a much better idea. It works much better than Horde and RoundCube.

Useless informstion, stick to the topic. Its not old and still world wide used a lot. It is maintained and not dead.
squirrelmail is distributed by default (Base) with a lot Linux distributions. The rest of the webmail apps are mostly on 3rdparty repo's. (squirrelmail is also used a lot as webmail app by very large ISP's for their customers)

If you want to help, find out why not sending mail.

after using this, and using the change password plugin, will the users be able to change the passwords by themselves from the webmail interface, without logging into the kloxo panel?

By removing exec and popen from disable_funtions (Advanced PHP Config tab), squirrelmail can send email using sendmail='true';

When set to false (using smtp localhost port 25) there is a relay problem.

but sendmail conflicts with qmail while updating the centos, so mostly we remove sendmail!

it seems a little complex

? software package "sendmail" has nothing to do with what i wrote.
If you know qmail a bit, then you know it uses sendmail (symbolic link/binary copy from qmail)
Still i use this squirrelmail and working fine.
Tho there is a open suggestion to move all webmail to the Kloxo web server (lxlighttpd) so we dont have to use the exec/popen php.ini vars.
